PROJECT

Commissioned in 1858 the painting “The Battle of Chapultepec” hung in the US Capitol until 1982, when it was moved to the Marine Corps Historical Center. In 2006 it moved again to the Thomas Gilcrease Institute of American Art in Tulsa, Oklahoma on a long term loan. ELY provided the staff to remove the painting, pack both the painting and frame and reinstall it in the new long term location.
