PROJECT

ELY staff worked closely with the Missouri Historical Society’s Project Manager, Registrar and Conservator to successfully complete the tour of this traveling exhibit. Responsibilities included packing, installation of furniture and objects, interactives and audio/visual units and supervision of museum staff at each venue. Objects in this exhibition were on loan from several institutions and included original artifacts from the Lewis & Clark journey: journals, plant and animal specimens, weapons and American Indian artifacts. ELY also provided registration services that included scheduling couriers for each venue, condition reporting of all objects and coordinating the transportation of climate-controlled trucks for the artifacts. The ELY registrar also acted as courier for the artifacts as they traveled to each venue. At the end of the tour, ELY facilitated the dispersal of the objects to the many lenders, disposal of the exhibition furniture and packing for return of the loaned artifacts to their various institutions.
