COLLECTIONS RELOCATIONS

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

Preplanning, precise inventory and proper scheduling are as essential to a successful collection relocation as the careful handling, packing and tracking of the objects. ELY will create a plan tailored to your needs or coordinate with your plan, working closely with all personnel involved from your institution. ELY, Inc. can create a move plan tailored to your needs, detailing each phase of a relocation and the steps within each phase. ELY can utilize your existing inventory system for the move or create one for you. The inventory system can be provided both in hard copy and electronic formats enabling you to manage and locate items in your collection if they are to remain in storage during a renovation. A detailed schedule outlining a day by day blueprint of staffing, tasks to be accomplished and target dates will define and organize the overall scope of the project.
